ELGIA facilitates a technical assistance workshop in Naivasha to support IEBC
From 3rd–6th November 2025, the Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA) is facilitating a technical assistance workshop in Naivasha to support the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in strengthening its strategic communication.

This initiative is part of the institutional strengthening efforts under the Kenya Institutional Strengthening Program (KISP), supported by the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO).

A team of consultants is conducting a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of the Draft IEBC Strategic Communication Plan. This process will inform the development of an Enhanced Strategic Communication Plan that reflects current communication realities, digital innovations, and evolving stakeholder expectations.

The Enhanced Strategic Communication Plan will improve the EMB’s transparency, credibility, and stakeholder engagement. It will also guide coherent messaging, support resource mobilization, and leverage digital platforms for inclusive voter outreach; ultimately contributing to the legitimacy and success of electoral processes.
