ELGIA Strengthening Digital Safety in Kisumu! a “Navigating the Digital Frontier” our CFLI-supported initiative

We’re excited to spotlight the Kisumu launch of “Navigating the Digital Frontier” our CFLI-supported initiative proudly backed by the Canadian Embassy .

 

On Wednesday, 19th November, ELGIA held a high-level engagement with Kisumu County, hosted by the dynamic Ms. Beatrice Odongo, CEC Member for Sports, Culture & Gender. We were equally honoured to collaborate with the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC), led by Chairperson Hon Rehema Jaldeso and Vice-Chair Thomas Okoth Koyier (EBS).

 

Together, we co-created a roadmap to address Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) and promote safe, inclusive digital spaces for women and girls in Kisumu. This marks a critical step toward gender-responsive governance and digital rights protection.

 

We are deeply grateful for the county’s commitment and NGEC’s leadership in advancing this agenda. The momentum is building—and we’re just getting started.
