ELGIA and FIDA-Kenya proudly joined the Kisumu County Government in launching this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
On 25th November 2025, the Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA) and FIDA-Kenya proudly joined the Kisumu County Government in launching this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). The campaign aligns with ELGIA’s ongoing CFLI-supported initiative, Navigating the Digital Frontier, and adopts the global theme: UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.
The event was officially flagged off by Ms. Beatrice Odongo, Kisumu County Minister for Gender, Sports, and Culture. A series of impactful activities marked the day, including a legal aid clinic supported by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), offering survivors and vulnerable groups access to justice and digital safety resources.
This collaborative effort underscores a shared commitment to ending Technology-Facilitated GBV and promoting safe, inclusive digital spaces for women and girls across Kisumu County.
