ELGIA observers Kasipul Constituency by-election in Homa Bay County On 26th November
On 26th November, ahead of the Kasipul Constituency by-election in Homa Bay County, observers from ELGIA, supported by the British High Commission, observed the key pre-election procedures. The day began with a security briefing at the County Commissioner’s Office led by the IEBC chair person ,followed by a media briefing.

The team then visited Agoro Sare Tallying Centre, where the IEBC Chairperson, ELGIA Executive Director, and the Returning Officer addressed Presiding and Deputy Presiding Officers on the importance of collaboration for credible and transparent results.

Thereafter , the chairperson IEBC and other stakeholders witnessed the opening of the ballot pellets. The POs and DPOs later received polling materials, and security officers were briefed before deployment. Overall, preparations were conducted in an orderly and procedural manner.
