ELGIA convenes The National Conference on Electoral Reforms
The National Conference on Electoral Reforms has launched with a powerful start! The opening session featured a range of distinguished speakers, including Ali Abdullahi Surraw (Deputy Registrar of Political Parties - ORPP), Mr. Marjan H. Marjan (Commission Secretary - IEBC), Hon. Wakili Hillary Sigei (Chairperson, JLAHC-Senate), and Hon. George G. Murugara (Chairperson, JLAC-National Assembly), Hon. Lady Justice Diana R. Mochache (Member, JCE and Presiding Judge - Kibera High Court), Ms. Kimberly Ludwig (USAID), Ms. Zoe Wildig (FCDO, British High Commission), Hon. Omar Hassan (Former NADCO Member), and Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka (Former Vice-President). The keynote address by Hon. Moses Wetangula, Speaker of the National Assembly, marked the official opening of crucial discussions on electoral reforms towards credible management of the 2027 General Elections.
