ELGIA in partnership with JCE and ICJ- Kenya convenes EDR debriefing workshop for the Court of Appeal Judges in Nakuru
Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA), in collaboration with the Judiciary Committee on Elections (JCE) and the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ)- Kenya, convened the Electoral Dispute Resolutions (EDR) debriefing workshop for the Court of Appeal Judges in Nakuru.
The debrief workshop aims to take stock of the 2022 EDR cycle by exchanging ideas through candid reflections on the effectiveness of past approaches whilst identifying gaps and areas of improvement to enhance delivery of electoral justice in Kenya. The workshop equally served as a preparatory platform for the 2027 electoral cycle, featuring sessions on comparative jurisprudence and arrangements on EDR from Zimbabwe and Malawi.
ELGIA invited the Deputy Chief Justice - Hon. Lady Justice Elizabeth Gwaunza, Judiciary of Zimbabwe and Hon.Lady Justice Dorothy Kamanga ,Supreme Court Judge - Malawi Judiciary.
